DIY Dye Series

Dyeing is simple, fun, and a great way to customize your sewing, quilting and textile art projects! Students will learn the basics of fiber-reactive dyes and color mixing while doing hands-on (gloves-on!) immersion dyeing. We'll also use thickened dyes with stamps and stencils, and explore using soy wax (an earth-friendly alternative to traditional batik wax) and freezer paper resists. Everyone will leave class with a notebook of dyed fabric samples to use as a reference for future projects.

Two (2) 3.5-hour classes
$90 (plus an additional $15 supply fee, payable to the instructor in class)
