Toy Animals
These little fellas are irresistibly cute and SEW easy to make! We’ve pulled together our five favorite patterns, all based on carnival toys of the early 20th century, updated with a rainbow of yummy wool felt colors and a more snuggly poly-fill.
Choose from a fawn, bunny, dachshund, squirrel, kitty or elephant (most represented on the right). Choose one to make in class and you’ll be all set to make many more with take home patterns and instructions. Felt friends make the perfect gift for kids or anyone in need of a nice dose of cute overload!
This class requires that you choose the animal you’d like to make in class ahead of time, and come to class with your felt pieces already cut out to allow us time to complete the project (all hand stitching) in class. When you enroll, you’ll receive a confirmation email that prompts you to choose your design. We will send a pdf version of the pattern and tracing/cutting instructions to you via email about a week before your class. Don’t fret! You can also pick up your pattern at the Lab and if you need help, anyone on staff at the Lab can show you the steps to tracing and cutting out your pieces.
PREREQUISITES!! Embroidery I or Hand Sewing Basics at Stitch Lab or equivalent experience. Not sure? Please email and we'll discuss!
