Hand Sewing Basics
Nearly all machine sewn items need a little hand sewing to finish, and we’d like to show you all the basics. Learn easy, proper ways to hand sew:
• snap or hook closures
• slip stitching
• slant stitch hemming
• invisible closing/repair stitch: the ladder stitch
• buttons: shank and sew-thru
• seams and repairs
• clever ways to thread a needle and tie a knot
You’ll learn all the basics and make a nice little hand sewn needle case to boot!
