DIY Fashion Design Series

Do you ever dream of designing your own clothes? If so, this is the perfect class for you! Students will start by learning basic fashion illustration techniques to get their ideas out of their head and onto paper. We will then choose one design idea to work on in class. We'll create a complete custom pattern for the design by making flat pattern alterations to a basic dress template and then sew a test garment in muslin fabric. Depending on the student and the design, it might also be possible to make a finished wearable version of the garment in fashion fabric. There may be homework in between classes.

Prerequisite: Students must have taken DIY Pattern Making 101 and have garment sewing experience. Not sure? Please email and we'll discuss!
