DIY Pattern Making: Creative Design Series

Take a fitting shell or basic dress template and learn how to make creative alterations and design manipulations to the pattern for a completely new design of your own creation. Students will bring in their fashion sketches and we'll choose one design to work on in class. We'll make creative pattern alterations to your dress template to complete the design and then sew a test in muslin fabric. Fashion Art 101 is a great companion class to this one to help work out your design ideas on paper ahead of time. There may be homework in between classes.

Prerequisite: Students must have taken DIY Pattern Making 101 and have garment sewing experience.
