Free Motion Machine Quilting

Put away those walking feet. Embellish your quilt top exclusively with the use of free motion quilting. This technique allows you to highlight patterning in your fabric, draw attention to your piecing or create repetitive stitch patterns across the surface of your top, all without stopping to cut thread or reposition your quilt top. The focus of this class is the technique, so while the activities will be fun and educational, they won’t necessarily yield a finished “project”. The materials listed below are intended as aids to learn the techniques.

Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate.

Prerequisite: Intro to Quilting Series with Hayley, or equivalent experience.
