Supersize My Quilt: Shoo-Fly

This class is all about simple graphic, quick blocks that pack a visual punch. The concept behind this class is to radically upscale a simple, easy-to-piece design and create a block that alone could be finished into a baby quilt or, in conjunction with additional blocks would make a striking bed-sized quilt.

A friend once said, “ The problem with subtlety is that nobody really notices.” When you’ve gone to the time and expense to craft a quilt block, you want it to have impact and catch people’s attention. One easy way to create that impact is to play with the scale of a simple, graphic block like this shoo-fly block. Finished block measures: 37” x 37”.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Prerequisite: The Intro to Quilting Series, or equivalent experience.
